关于句子的几个问题，请高手解答！

1. There were books,clothing and photographs,together with letters which the seaman had once received from his wife.(其中的together with作何解？这是什么用法呢？)
2.the candle lit face of the pumpkin shines from each home welcoming the little ghosts and goblins to call.(lit face of 是固定搭配吗？而shines from又如何解释呢？如果可以的话，请帮分析一下在welcoming前的句子结构，3Q)
3.The investment cost required is nominal when the amount of pleasure generated is considered.(其中generated后面是不是应当加上它的主语啊？怎么直接就放在pleasure后作定语呢？)
4.These areas are usually protected by the government and although important to our environment,are not considered gardens.(and后面的although，是个副词吗？而important是第一个are的表语吗？但是逗号后面是个并列句？是不是还可以多并列几个啊？)
5.The conditions that will provide the optimum chances for the plants survival.(其中that作主语,这是什么从句来着？)
